had h3 got 8 mpg. rick i be pretty seasoned we get quite a bit of snow usually around 6 inches each time though. the hills we have with that much though its impossible to get around. had to use graders to scrap the road. with better tires i could have made it i think.

idk how some of the people up in like new york state get around. if we got as much snow as rick with our mountains and roads (i think we got close i got 17 inches) i dont think anything other than a dozer would get out.

the must be or have some road crew from hell. they wont even scrap ours until the snow stops. so basically you had the tallest app mountains besides nc with 17 inches of snow. even the best 4wd doesnt go when your pushing it with a bumper.

oh mbp my h3 was a i5 the best i saw was about 8 i kept it for 2 days and made the dealer give me my car back cause i found out it was wrecked and they didnt tell me. neighbor had 5.3 his got about 6.

thats the foos we get for the most part. none scared of shit. which i guess im no better. i took a rwd up that once when it was ice. wasnt 17 inch deep ice though. i hit that with decent running go just wasnt enough to blow through it.

In upstate NY I'm sure they plow with the storm like here. Waiting for it to be over beats your equipment harder, makes it more difficult to do, and makes the roads difficult to deal with during the storm...people still need da amberlamps an' shit during the storm.

You plow continuously and try to have a large enough fleet to prevent most roads from getting more than a couple inches. You lay down lots of salt to help prevent accumulation and sand for traction. Keep up with it like that and 4WD can climb most mountains in most storms, and a decent driver can do moderate hills with 2WD without a problem.

Out in Colorado and northern California they close roads or require tire chains.

see they do the salt and plow but as long as its snowing heavy just park that shit and wait till its done so they dont waste a dollar. they close interstates and parkways sometimes they did in the 90s but thats pretty much 3 roads of thousands in eastern ky. we only have one of the parkways and only for 7 miles. at work we told people if they wreck and its not a injury wreck they can fill out a civilian accident report later. if was hurt we will meet them at hospital. we have one 4wd at post and if someone wasnt dead we didnt go last night. ambulance same we they went but fuckers would have to walk out to a main road or would use fds atv. the ambulances are 4wd.

2 problems with that cv is no more............and they wont plow until the snow stops. cvs go pretty good for rwd though ill agree. half the hollers though is like my bridge and 4wd truck has trouble.

They're made in the same facility afaik but as far as similarities they share like 10% parts. H3s have similar frames but theyre still different being stretched, boxed in some areas and a few more crossmembers
