they also fired Kojima so no more MGS (at least not via Konami)

and they canceled the Silent Hill game (which was PT? idk haven't paid attention to that)

The gaming industry is going to go through some hard times in the near future. They focus on consoles and repeatedly alienate PC players. They can't make ends meet without pc, especially when you look at inflated budgets for games.

It's dumb to alienate any console that your game is capable of running on. I imagine it's nice to develope for a console because you know exactly what hardware the user will have but PC gaming is a huge market and it's dumb to ignore it.

Also, it looks like gaming is going to keep getting worse with DLC/IAPs and pre-order shit. Put out pre-order and early access so people pay early and then you can release all the buggy shit you'd like. Fuck it, might as well only give them half of the game and release the other half a month later as DLC! Plus, we'll make it hard for them to advance in the game without buying some coins/stars/tickets.

And people continue to pre-order allthethings and buy IAPs so the companies rake in the cash and it keeps going in that direction.
