Why Verizon pisses me off...
I live in a very populated place. In the suburbs of a somewhat decent sized city. I can drive 2 miles and have full LTE signal. I work in a very small town. I get excellent LTE signal. Blazing fast data and crystal clear calls. But at my house, I'm left with this shit. Look at what its done to my battery. You can tell exactly when I got home. Such bullshit. I'd call... again... but it does no good. Edit: Actually, I'm on 3G when I turn WiFi off. I'm clearly supposed to be covered by 4G according to their map. I'm calling these bastards tomorrow.

Your phone calls don't matter. Vote with your dollars, those matter. Plus, you win immediately by good signal at home. That's exactly why I switched to Sprint in 2007...Verizon had no signal at my house and Sprint had signal everywhere I went.

My coworker had AT&T and 3g would come and go depending on where he was in town. So he moved to VZW and has 3g/4g everywhere... except his house O_o if he walks to the end of his driveway, he gets signal, but not at the house. Something to do with living in a little hole/valley and the tower overshooting it.

WTF Android.
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=7632 I haz same issue. "QuicPic" is recommended by two posts there but doesn't seem to have any sharing option at all.

Found it...can't do it while viewing a photo, have to long-press the thumbnail. Lame. That means I have to view the photo, then go back to the thumbnails and hope I get the right one.

Just tap the photo you are viewing and you should get some icons at the top. Choose the one to share.

I see...actually it's tough to tap the little share icon on my little screen. I thought I was hitting it before but apparently I was missing it. This time I used my computer mouse to do it.
Wait, what? How'd I do that, you say? http://code.google.com/p/androidscreencast VNC servers don't work for my phone (display issues) but androidscreencast does.

You could remote into your computer and use it to screen cast into your phone.

Is the tower somewhere you can get to? I ran into a TMo tower near work and the fence had a TMo sign on it.

but otherwise lgb ---------- Post added at 07:56 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:44 AM ---------- sammy planning on releasing the S4 in February apparently. Supposed to have a 5" display. Idk if putting a 5" on their most popular device is a good idea, especially when they already have the Note to fill that need. I guess if they eliminate the hardware buttons and slim the bezel down enough that the phone stays about the same size, it would work.

fgt Canada finally got jellybean yesterday.
battery life has gone to complete hell however...losing about 10% an hour just on standby. Havent touched it since I got to school @8 and its down to 47% from just sitting in my pocket. Some new update I missed or something I have to tweak? ....could easily last a full day with decent usage and be down to maybe 30%.

"Emergency Call" should be an option on the default lock screen, not just when you've set a security lock. That's a couple strokes fewer before you can talk to 911 while pinned under your car thanks to a broken jack stand.
I just set a security pattern: Top right to top left to bottom left. Code:
___< | | | \/ I have seen "Emergency Call" on the default lock screen a couple times and googled it and apparently it shows up when you don't have a signal. WTF would you do with it with no signal?
