Cao's first ride
I found these pictures of a car just like my first car.
The grill was gold on mine. When I had the steel wheels with the wheelcovers shown in the photos, I had whitewall tires. Eventually I got some rims with 205/55-16 tires...looked a little out-of-place but handled nice. I miss that car.

TBI 4.1 V8. Plenty of torque, couldn't exceed 4000RPM.
Funky computer system too. The digital displays for fuel economy and climate control could be turned into a code reader/live data display with a few button presses.

80 Z28 Dark Claret Metallic with Dove grey/white interior. Bought it for $250 and got the car running with .75 section of rubber fuel line. Had the bangin' N90 alloys
unfortunately it was nowhere near as nice as this one: |

My first vehicle was a 1969 C10 355/auto 2WD lowered on some wide-kidney bean style wheels...like below, mine only had the billet in the original grille not phantom style...only had it for like 2 months then bought my 89 RCSB Z71 Silverado...
had it for 1 or so years... then drove this...93 Grand Prix (sister bought from original owners, i drove this for 3 years)...great car other pontiacs piss-poor design of the fuel rail. now this for 3--5 years...

I had a 3.1 fail at like 130,000 miles.
My friends had one blow a head gasket. That fuel rail was a major pain in the ass.

Quote:
We replaced the fuel pressure regulator which worked for what it replaced, it helped some but not all the way. At that point, I just drove it as is. The weather was the primary dictator of how it acted like days where it was 80-above would make fuel basically "vapor lock" due to heat of motor + atmosphere temp. When that happened, I just drove it like a manual valve bodied automatic. A little gas in neutral at stoplights, and would slowly ease into the gas while managing to put the car in drive at the same time. That was the only problem I had with that car while owning it.
