Btw Mike, AOKP on le Fassy will be switching to TWRP soon. Probably the Gummy builds too and anything with the Glitch kernel.

Wan, Bryant wants to tether his phone but there are only 2 ways to do it. Either flash him back to a Froyo RUU and enable it via APN (and hope ATT doesn't notice) or flash a custom ROM.
I really don't want to chance bricking it by attempting to flash back to Froyo, so I'm trying to steer him into a custom ROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=964841 ---------- Post added at 10:41 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:37 AM ---------- There is a stable CM7.2 release though. Might try that.

Because ATT can see the tethering, and will charge for it.

From what I'm reading the kernel needs to have certain code changed for the tethering to not be visible. Simply rooting and using the wifi tether app isn't a workaround.

Samsung does some of the same shit. Can't just root Fassy and use wifi tether.

Verizon knows, but her data usage must be so low they don't care.

I'd imagine they'd tell her to stop if she was using lots of data.
Bryant doesn't want to pay for separate internet so he's going to be using his phone as his primary source, and I want him to be safe. |

So then just flash a kernel and be done with it.
---------- Post added at 01:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:03 PM ---------- also going to run the glitched AOKP since it seems to have fixes that regular AOKP doesnt. |

Those fixes are also in the latest test kernel the was put out. Too much BS in the glitched AOKP builds.
