If you go right now and open a line with TMo and get a Galaxy S4 for $99 and 20/mo for 24months, you can already pay it off whenever and upgrade. Almost like an ETF but you don't have to close your account, you just pay off the phone and upgrade.

What JUMP is, its $10/mo (which includes insurance that is usually $8 anyway) and you can upgrade whenever you want. So a few months into your plan, you have paid off $99 + $20x3 months. Without jump, you'd have to pay the rest to upgrade. With JUMP, you just take the phone into TMo, they make sure it works, they keep it, you upgrade right then and there. You can do that 2x a year.

it's like leasing the phone. if you go the full 24 months or pay it off early, you keep it. If you take it back before it's paid off, they waive what you owe and you can get any upgrade, same price as new customers.

TMo has no data "limits". The only limit is on high speed data. 500mb is included in all their plans you can pay to have 2.5gb or unlimited. But you're paying for high speed data. If you ever hit your limit, you get throttled, not overcharged. Also, I'm pretty sure they officially don't care if you tether.

That's TMo's regular behavior, JUMP doesn't make any changes to anything besides the $10/mo, insurance, and upgrade availability. It isn't a plan, its something you add to your plan.

we're going to give it a try

their network isn't as nice here as VZW/ATT but from what I've read it isn't bad. I'm pretty sure LTE is up and running here too. We rarely ever leave town either so it should work just right for us.

and if it doesn't, we'll switch back in 2yrs or pay off our phones and gtfo early if it's THAT bad lol but I don't see it being an issue.

Wifeys fassy is being a bitch lately. It keeps locking up and shit. It's running CM10.1 right now.

Thinking about going back to either CM7 or CM9. ICS ran a little better than JB on my GNex even so I'm guessing it would run better on the Fassy. NSIW GB or if it would even run better than ICS.

Best phones on VZW now are the S4 and the Note II. S4 has better specs, Note II has bigger screen and pen.

They'll have the HTC One soon and probably a Note 3 in a few months.

If I was upgrading right now on VZW, I'd get an S4.

do what Mike said because they are both nice phones.

The S4 has a removable battery, an SD slot, and a few more sensors (IR blaster). The One has a unified metal construction that is pretty legit.

One has Sense on top, one has TouchWiz on top.

Both have recent versions of Android, 1080p screens, nice processors/ram/cameras/etc and plenty of dev support if you care about that.

When you go play with them in a store, play with the camera app, contacts, music, look through the settings, etc. because TouchWiz and Sense change a lot of that shit.

Standing next to the wash bucket at work, pulled it out of my pocket to show someone, wasn't used to the feel of it vs the GNex (everyone knows what I'm talking about... same phone for 2.5 years, it just feels good), dropped it straight in the bucket. Turns out they aren't waterproof.

This is being ordered for S3 next week on payday:

Yup. It's a tank. This one is getting an everyday case, and that armor series for the 4 wheeler. And I need to find a good vanilla ROM to put on this thing. After having the GNex, touchwiz sucks.

Go to xda and find the "Android Development" section under the VZW S3 and look through the threads. There will always be AOKP and CM but there are probably some other nice ones.
