I stopped at VZw, bad idea, she informed I can upgrade now

So I am going to hold off I think though. If there is a chance of a new phone coming out in the next month or so I think its the better choice, plus no good sales right now.

I do really like the Dx though. I also looked at the Samsung and damn, that phone is skinny and pretty nice as well. Is it just the OS that is different in these 2?

Yeah they are both Android and can use the same apps but the X has "Blur" on top of it (Motorola's Modifications to the theme and stock apps) and the Samsung has TouchWiz. The X has a bigger screen than the Fascinate and is built a little tougher. Other than that, they are fairly similar as far as power goes.

Unless you find an update.zip with the stock kernel (doubtful) you'll have to load a backup, that's why they ALWAYS say to make a backup before flashing

I've been doing everything manually because I don't trust clockwork/rommanager to do it automatically. I've had it not do everything for me before too.

It pretty much runs the phone. Without it your phone wouldn't work. It controls a bunch of shit, you are better off Googling it to get a better understanding
