I tried the og shave in January as something fun to try. I get far less ingrown hairs and my skin looks healthier I think. I tried the goop from a can again last month and broke out horribly. Shiz is cheap as fawk too, a ten pack of blades is like $3 for the cheap ones. Smooth face and feel manly. Lol

Check out walgreens. They have a basic boar hair brush and some Van Der Hagen Premium Shave soap and some blades. The actual razor though, you may have to work a little more. I have one my great great grandfather used that was made in the 70s, the one pictured is a 1940's Gillette gold tech I found in an antique shop for $12. You can buy new, but its a bit more, and there is really no use in it. Just boil the razor and you'll be fine. Nothing lives on a dry razor for more than a couple days.
badgerandblade.com is a BAMF set of guys who wetshave. You can go as crazy as you want, there are some blades from japan that will give you the best shave you have ever had. BUT, they will cut the hell out of your face if you are just learning. It does take some time to shave this way, but I like it so much I actually wake up earlier just to ensure I shave. I actually find it relaxing, kind of hard to explain. There are some wiki on that site on how to get started, like beard mapping and the three pass shave etc. You have to actually learn to shave again lol. |

Ill have to research that out.
Found a complete starting set for $137 or so, from a B&B vendor. http://www.leesrazors.com/products/U...dge-Setup.html

Its harder than just using a can of crap, and some multiblade POS. The whole point of the the cream is to be a lube, the first blade of the multiblade razors uses that lube and the rest of them just scrape your face with no lube.
