Word, Nexus boxes have always been rather plain. The packaging for the Thunderbolt was plain a hell too, pretty much just a black box.

Well wtf, waifu has 2yr upgrade available as well as a loyalty discount. But those only apply to certain phones, which is bullshit. Example, when I look at the Stratosphere:

2Yr Price: $149.99
Online Discount: -$50
Upgrade Discount: -$30
Price: $69.99

but when I look at the D3:

2Yr Price: $149.99

That's it, no discounts at all.

Might get waifu a stratosphere. Reviews look decent, it is essentially a fascinate with a keyboard, 4g, and a 4" screen. 1ghz is plenty fast enough, my wife doesn't watch movies, doesn't play 3d games, etc. She just wants a full qwerty and something that doesn't crash like the D1

4G and a bigger sammy screen should be nice.

Plus, can acquire one cheap and save $ for my GNex since I am more picky about what phone I end up with

Went to BB and got waifu a Stratosphere. The white one was pretty sekz but she liked the black better.

So far she loves it and it seems like a pretty nice phone to me. So far its fairly snappy and the 4G is win. Screen is vivid as fuck, slider and keyboard feel good, etc.

A few parts of the TouchWiz are ugly to me but overall it's nice and she loves it. Plus, it was free.

To be honest, I am sort of interested in the Asus pad phone or whatever it is. the one that has a tablet that uses the phone in it. tempting. imo
