It's still fairly popular. Gotta remember Verizon exchanged God knows how many Fascinates for the Charge over the missed call debacle, and not everyone has $700 to spend on a phone if they're months away from an upgrade. The main holdup all along has been kernel source, but that's no longer an issue.

Yea, you need a newer CWR so you don't have to deal with edify BS.

So apparently the MMS sending being borked is another reason Google pulled the plug for now on updating the Nexus S to 4.0.3.

So a friend has a DX. He rooted it last night. Now his market won't work. He's also new to this so he doesn't have a very clear idea of what exactly he did. He does know he's running GB.

I looked at it and when you try to download an app, it just hangs and says "Download paused. Waiting for Wi-Fi.".

Any ideas? Do you need me to get info off the phone? Just the build number and kernel info?

I'm a Sammy fan boy.... no clue on this Motorola stuff.

I didn't spend much time on stock GB but I don't remember even hearing about that problem. All he did was root it? No roms or modifications or anything??

Actually, have him check the Battery/Data saver settings. Moto has all kinds of shit you can turn on to save data/battery including waiting for wifi to download things.

Check market settings also because I don't remember where the setting is.

He just had the MyTouch iirc, the 4G launched around the same time the Nexus S did. I dont think its a bad phone, but there is definitely better options.

Depends on the size, if 32GB thats not a bad price. If its 16GB then you can get them cheaper.
