Look on XDA there are a ton of live wallpapers out there. CM6 also allows you to turn any wallpaper into a live wallpaper just like the stock Nexus has. 2.2 is FroYo lol. If you want to keep your warranty to be on the safe side then use this method to root http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=710842

But yeah, X > Droid as long as you are willing to forfeit the keyboard and root/roms (for now at least). It is faster than my Droid at 1ghz with Froyo and the X doesn't even have Froyo yet. It has the FM radio, beautiful screen, etc.

Anything Android is win IMO, even the Eris I had was a legit phone. I missed the high res screen and camera and flash and whatnot since I had already had a Droid but for what it is, it is a great little phone. I'm sure the Ally is pretty nice too.
