adw is definitely win, LP would give me similar issues where it would take a while to load when going back home or booting up. fgtry. Plus he never updates LP, even the paid version. ADW is nice and ADW EX is all win.

So, since I had the tech at Vz reset my phone over a week ago,(so it was logged in my acct for when I call to bitch out VZ tech support) knock on wood no issues with it yet. I did not reinstall LP or ADWex and left TWC off it as well, seems to be running ok to this point.

Doesn't surprise me that it was an app of some sort causing the problem. Like I said, mine and everyone I've knowns DXs have been stable beasts.

That said, I don't think TWC, LP, or ADWEX are very buggy. But I don't use TWC and prefer ADW so never install LP.

I know Gary doesnt want to, but it would help a lot with the problems he is having. How often do we come in here and have problems with our rooted devices. No problem in rooting to remove the useless VZW bullshit, and that only. I at least feel that would help a lot.

I know lol my phone doesn't reboot unless I tell I to or I'm fucking with system files.

Plus, the phones so much nicer with MIUI/CM7 that I would make up for any reboots anyway

If I recall correctly all you really need is z4root and a file explorer program (astro or similar). z4root is a simple install, and click to root. The astro will gain superuser permissions and be able to change name files from .apk to .pak.

The file explorer part is right but to root gingerbread you need a program on your computer. Pete's root tools.

I will say this to my opinion on any VZW android release. Over the semester break, I rooted and rommed my stepdads Incredible 2 due to him complaining about typical HTC piss-poor battery life. Ever since Cyanogen Mod has been installed, he says it has been a night and day difference.

Super thinking of ditching DX for RAZR Maxx. Three day battery with casual use equals one day/night of Bass use! Plus, it'd be cool to have a RAZR again. :happy

Since you like roms, I'd recommend the GNex but if battery is more important than def can't beat the Maxx. Its bigger than most extended batteries even.
