I still have 10" kickers (round) with old af pioneer amp. same amp I had in my truck, have had it for 10+ years kickers are probably almost 10 years old too and were used when I got them. old shit but still bompz decently. Kinda wants 2x12s and a bigger amp but dnw to spend moneys.

I think the rear deck is pretty much solid metal too, except for speaker holes.

The circular hole with the flat side was for factory sub installation but most cars didn't come with that so it's just a hole. In theory I guess you could cut the cloth there, wrap it in there to make it look kinda nice, and have a hole for some bass to come in lol
