Yeah, F3/FNV can always be found cheap at Steam sales or other sites like GOG, bundles, etc.

1 and 2 are COMPLETELY different. They are really old 2D RPGs with lots of text and clicking. 3 is the first one Bethesda made using the same engine as Oblivion/Skyrim. Then Obsidian modded/reskinned it as New Vegas.

Doubt it. Playing 3 would give you some background but you'll prob enjoy 4 even if you don't play 3.

I doubt Bethesda would make it to where you needed the back story of fallout 3. Fallout 3 and New Vegas were totally unrelated.

Now, if you are flush with cash and have some time I would certainly buy it. Do not buy New Vegas, it could give you herpes.

I know no one else liked NV but I loved it. F3 was win, FNV was F3 in Nevada with gun mods

I didn't see it as a new game, more like an huge expansion but it was fun.
