Yes and no. If you were to run a normal clocked phone and an OC phone side by side running an active app, the OC would die first.
BUT! the app used to overclock lets you set profiles. Like right now I have it set to drop the speed down REALLY low when it is asleep. So even though my phone uses more battery when active, it uses less than stock when in my pocket. You can also set it to lower the OC speed when the battery drops to a certain level, you can set it to drop down when the battery gets to a certain temperature (failsafe), etc. So if you set your profiles correctly, you'll get the same battery life, sometimes better if you don't use your phone that often. Also, when you OC you don't just set one value for it to run at. You set a min and a max. You can tell it to run 500min, 1.2ghz max. Then you can tell it to run those frequencies in powersave, conservative, performance, or on demand mode. In powersave/conservative it tries to stay towards the min you have set unless absolutely necessary. Performance obviously sticks towards the max. On Demand is right in the middle. It stays pretty close to the min but as soon as anything needs some power it speeds up. So its very customizable.

Ehh I dunno. I can't decide what to do, but this buggy shit with it hanging up/freezing totally has got to go. Like right now even, I click Messages and it just sits there forever..

It seems more stable to me now. ALOT faster than the other esee53 or whatever it was.
I guess I can wait for the 2.1 update to come out.

Damn I thought ese53 was faster. Were you using live wallpapers by any chance? I found that live wallpapers and transpareny in themes were the main things that made me notice slow down.
I use normal wallpapers and applied a theme that has a non-transparent app drawer and notification window, now its a LOT faster.

interesting, not sure why you had prollemz and me and my friend don't.
On rare occasions it acts a little funny as a call comes in but usually if I wait a second it clears up and I answer it with no problems. also never had a boot loop

You could always try a different 2.1 rom, you know how easy it is to go back if it gives you issues
You tried UD so that leaves Simply Stunning, Bugless Beast, and probably some others. One of them comes with the stock theme so its probably a little faster. I think the stock themed one is Bugless Beast. Not sure.

rofl well I know that the droid supports up to 32gb so I'll be fine with that unless that is something on the software side and they can patch it
