Gary, you can turn MP3s into ringtones on your phone with Ringdroid. It lets you crop them and save them as ringtones or notifications. Has worked well for me.

As for wallpapers, I either use Zedge or I just browse wallpaper sites and google images with the browser and save any that I like. A couple good wallpaper sites are http://www.wallbase.net and http://m.flikie.com

wtf why don't you want it? A seidio will still give you better life than a stock battery I think, it just won't be as nice as a Moto extended. Again, I have no experience with them, this is just what I remember reading. Ask Mike.
