a few days?
oh until classes are over? thought you meant you were getting a new ride in a few days lol If my motor wasn't going out, I'd have no problem putting some money into it for the fuel pump (or pressure regulator) issue. I just hate putting money into something that I know could die any day.

Yeah. Have 3 more days i have to drive in traffic.
Maybe could get dad to fix this weekend? But still gotta study for next weeks tests so im like wtf. Gotta drive cv. The steering died on it this morning heading down the street. Wheel was so tight. Couldnt turn. Came back after a minute or so. After that when i tired to speed up around 10-20 mph car would feel like a horse

---------- Post added at 12:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:53 AM ---------- So...CVs be gettin' old, worn out, beat up. Bummer. getting new windshield. Dude should be here any minute now. Not sure if this windshield is original, but it has brown for the fade-tint at the top instead of the common blue and the new one was listed as blue. Dude arrived halfway through that sentence.

same here, been neglecting it since it's been having issues. Issues started when I replaced the intake manifold, plugs, a coolant tube, and a few hoses to try and take care of the dumb bastard.

Same here actually. Morale dove to zero one day and I considered just giving up on but then I manned up and ordered a ton of stuff to fix it and started fixing some of it. Fucking cold and snow now.
I think I'm gonna build a tarp garage lean-to against my house where I can work on and the Toyota and shit with a space heater until weather gets too awful for even that.

the dead engine makes me dive to zero. If it was a bamf old car, would think about an engine swap, but CVs can be had for a decent price and I can end up with something newer and better instead of polishing the turd a little lol

Don't keep driving it when the temp light is on. That's begging for a head gasket failure. Stop and maybe let it idle (so the fan and water pump run) or maybe shut it off (so it doesn't make more heat).
Carry some water and/or coolant with you, and some rags/towels so you can open the radiator without getting scalded.

cezplz. Ferry water from bathroom sink in 12oz bottle if necessary. Been there done that. Stop at store and buy gallon jug. Worst case, get tow truck. Beats buying new engine.
When it started blowing cold, you lost enough coolant that your heater core couldn't get any of it; probably mostly/all gone. Prolly blew head gasket driving so severely overheated.

At the same time, my fuel pump (or regulator) died. Stuck at the store, waiting for a toy truck. CVs planned this. Sent from my LG V20
