I think you need to drill out the rivets and then it will slide out of the groove it is in. When putting it back, you'll need to do some kinda bolt/nut setup or use a few heavy duty zip ties.
That's what I read anyway.

well mine has 4 screwable bolts u take off with sockets. had to disconnect some lines i think to get the whole thing off and then remove it. wasnt sure in what order to do it. didnt want to remove the 4 screw things and have hoses hanging onto the thingy inside and maybe fuck it up if its working fine

oh nice, some have rivets.
I think you remove the two closest to the bumper, loosen the front two, and then the plate slides back and off. Not 100% sure though since haven't done it yet.

there vapor lines and vaccum lines you need them or your car wont run right. you plug em and tune it out though. but you wouldnt pass emissions.
