I too mostly dislike any that don't go inside the ear canal, although there are times when I do like them - if I've just gotten out of the shower, for example, sticking earbuds in my ear canal hurts.
Anyway, Acoustibuds attach to standard-sized flat earbuds and convert them to in-ear-canal, which is why I think they'd be good with the Rios...but if those Panasonics you have are decent, I may try to acquire some. I've never tried Acoustibuds but they look like they'd stay in better than the other in-ear-canal options even without ear hooks.
