I deal with seized allthethings. Slider pins, sure...in fact I replace those if I'm ordering from Rockauto since I can generally throw them into my order for a scant few bucks. I buy bore brushes for guns and mount them in my drill to de-rust the bore where the pins go (for systems with a bore like that;
is a different design) after I clean it out with brake cleaner and a
rag on a stick. Then I grease the everliving fuck out of it with brake grease.
Magnets: Either buy neodymium magnets from a company that sells them/eBay/Amazon, or salvage a pair of them from a discarded hard drive. Disassemble hard drive with extreme prejudice, the magnets are in the corner where the head's counterweight/electromagnet swivels.

...and if I don't have new pins I give the old ones the same clean/wirebrush treatment.
