I'm off of Seagate. At work we had a few years worth of machines come with Seagates that were a series that had tons and tons of failures. For years we burned through tons of those motherfuckers.
I did my oil change tonight. In the dark. On frozen mud. In the cold. Amazingly it was one of the smoothest, quickest, cleanest oil changes I've ever done, despite the shop having semi-gorilla-tightened the oil filter and drain plug. They also replaced my parking brake cables (which did NOT need replacing but whatever) and didn't adjust it right, so as I was shoving the drain plug the car was rolling on the rutted, bumpy, frozen mud.
Also, funnel oil cap FTW. Dumped the 5-quart jug in without spilling a single drop on my spark plug wires/exhaust manifold.
