I'm sure you've noticed that Photobucket disabled hotlinking for free accounts, breaking tons of informative, important threads from the past. I've spent the last week struggling to download the contents of my few albums there, dealing with their incredibly invasive ad proliferation that makes the site impossible to use.
I've finally succeeded at downloading all my shit and deleting my account.
I wrote this in the comments under why I want to delete my account:

The offense that Photobucket has committed against the Internet as a whole by not grandfathering existing hotlinked images while making the new policy about charging for 3rd party hosting is inexcusable. Tons of important, informative discussion threads everywhere are now hobbled or useless.
Also, while attempting to download my albums, I found that the excess amount of advertisements makes the site almost unusable, causing constant freezing in modern browsers on modern equipment; the only way to reduce it to a reasonable level, with ad-blocking, breaks functionality in the site.
