There are a few hints in Accel World anime but you gotta be quick to catch them. Sword Art Online 9: Alicization Beginning hints at it since Kirito dreams of a fat kid and a butterfly or something about it when he is hooked up to that new machine. There were a few more dreams but i dont remember what they exactly said.
