i turn on the comp it shows the windows logo then the dell logo, then the message ---------- Post added at 03:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:18 PM ---------- and the comp can't really be turned off normally i have to press and hold the power button |
This is where I get lazy and as long as it boots up every time I just ignore it :rofl2: THC can probably help you more.
Is it the screen that asks you to pick an option like "Last Good Configuration" or whatever? |

Yes, service pack. Right-click My Computer, click Properties, it'll tell you exact version and SP info.
Windows 98 used to have lots of shutdown freezing, an update fixed it. I think XP has had a few similar problems. |
