I used to do some models. I liked to paint the parts while they were still attached to their molding thingy, way easier that way.

Only thing is then you have to paint two spots later. Always painted separate on cardboard.

Touch-up is easy though, the rest of the thing is dry so I can hold it without smearing the paint. Lots of times the molding flash is where it gets glued anyway.

The last one I did was a 63 or 64 impala when I was in middle school. Painted it candy blue, put daytons, tint, and hydraulics on it :roflmao:

I have an old chevy stepside still in the box somewhere. I need to dig it out and build it. :chin:

Fully shaved, needed grill finished and the windows put in. This was really early in the model building days. My best friend and I got into it pretty heavy back in the day. He still has a bunch of them built. My nephew destroyed all of mine, I had left them in my room at my parents house...

He was only 3 or so. Thought they were toys. Had a escalade that I did a full frame on and air brushed with real automotive paint. Did a H2 hummer like that as well. Of course both were on the ground and big wheels.

still needs beat down :cheeky:
