Sounds like...

I recently realized that Van Halen - Girl Gone Bad sounds a whole lot like Led Zeppelin, especially like The Song Remains The Same. There's pieces like Moby Dick and Achilles Last Stand too. Halfway through the intro it starts sounding like Led Zeppelin, and once the song breaks open it sounds very much like The Song Remains The Same with the drum beat, and the sound of the guitar is very Zeppelin. Even Eddie Van Halen's solo turns to Zeppelin halfway through.

Of course, we know that Regulate by Warren G is built on a sample of I Keep Forgettin' by Michael McDonald. However, I noticed that in some parts of the song, his voice sounds like Lionel Richie's voice in Lady.

When I was listening to Regulate I first thought of Kenny Rogers' recording of Lady, but then coincidentally Lionel Richie came on right after and I realized that's really where it's at. Decide for yourself, though, if you can find the vocal similarity in either one.

While listening to Big Empty by Stone Temple Pilots, I realized that some of it sounds kinda like parts of Bad Magick by Shooter Jennings. Well, actually, it's the other way around; Bad Magick sounds like Big Empty.

Honestly, I don't hear ANY of those resemblances now, but I hastily jotted them down while driving...maybe I was cooler that day.

There are several rap songs that sample heavily from marilyn mansons work for the resident evil sound tracks.

Oxycotton is one of them.
